are your files set up correctly?
- 1. bleed
- When setting up your work, please create the document size with a bleed. A bleed is the excess room at the edge of a document needed for cutting around the border of the printed material. Taste of Ink Studios requires for all print ready artwork to contain a bleed that extends 1/8 inch around the print document.
- 2. fonts
- If you are submitting a vector file, please be sure to "outline" your fonts, or "convert to curves". This way, if Taste of Ink Studios does not have your exact font, the file will print correctly.
- 3. upgrades (spot gloss and foil)
- Once you have decided what you would like spot glossed or foiled, Taste of Ink Studios asks for you to create an additional layer within the design document. After you have created the new layer, please label each upgrade separately (ex: spot gloss highlights, decorative foil) and make that layer 100% black.
- 4. cmyk
- Please be sure your document color mode is set to CMYK, not RGB.
- 5. 300 dpi
- If you are not providing a vector file, please be sure your document resolution is set to 300dpi.
- 6. accepted file types
- psd., ai., pdf., eps, jpg.
